Also, INTC has a greater % ownership by institutions. Some, like Fido Magellan (heard of them?) have INTC as their *top* holding. This doesn't make the shares any less attractive vis-a-vis say, Microsoft or Coke, but does tend to magnify volatility as the big boys jump in and out. Fundamentally, it's a wash, though.
