Non-Tech : E.Schwab problems

I do. But one can't close out positions in a Schwab account at another brokerage. And 'boxing' gets to be expensive especially if that firm doesn't have shares in the relevant stock to borrow to establish a short position. Then you have to go to puts and with spreads being what they are on options, its just not worth it.

I've been systematically going to cash in my Schwab accts. Very few positions left. I'm quite reluctant to establish any new ones there until they give some indication that they're willing to invest the resources necessary to resolve the problems they're having. Its not just the crashes of the past week but several other performance issues with the web site that I'm consistently being told are 'being worked on' yet I see no indication that anything is improving. And the attitudes of the web support group seems to be deteriorating.
