This kind of expectations is just unreasonable on an annual basis. Of course, you'll pull out DELL, CSCO, etc. to prove me wrong, but historically and realistically it is just unreasonable. There will always be high flyers and one can hope to catch one or two or three, but to not invest because it probably won't double? Sorry if I sound too harsh and sour, but more and more comments and sentiments like yours make naive people believe in unrealistic gains...and thus,,they fail.
