Leading Online Entertainment Company Taps POP.X to Enable Instant Play

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Boxerjam Inc., a leading
online entertainment and gameshow developer, today announced that it has
licensed technology from HearMe (Nasdaq: HEAR) that will allow Boxerjam to
deliver its original multi-user entertainment to a mass-market audience on the
Web. Boxerjam will be working with HearMe's POP.X(TM), an industry-leading
platform for developing and deploying real-time Internet experiences, to allow
its users to instantly play robust, interactive games without time-consuming
downloads.
"It's no secret that our members want to play games that require a minimal
download time," said Allen Cunningham, president of Boxerjam. "By working
with HearMe's POP.X technology we can introduce next generation multi-user
games that provide a consumer-friendly entertainment that is instantly
gratifying and media rich."
Boxerjam's original gameshows are designed by Julann Griffin, co-creator
of the television classic Jeopardy! and attract over 100,000 people a day on
AOL (keyword: Boxerjam) and at boxerjam.com. The TV-esque game
shows include: "Strike a Match," a compelling game of cross-referenced
knowledge in which players find matching words on a board; "Out of Order,"
where players compete by unscrambling words and facts in four different
rounds; "Take 5," a five-minute game where players pick five words to make a
fact and "Napoleon" which combines classic tile games with poker in an
atmosphere of elegance and excitement reminiscent of Monte Carlo.
"Boxerjam is changing the face of Web entertainment with gameshows that
are compelling and engaging. They provide rich experiences through intricate
design, high-quality graphics, and intelligent game play," said Rob Csongor,
vice president of HearMe's technology products group. "We are thrilled that
they have selected our technology to help them bring new levels of mass-
consumerready, real-time multi-user experiences to their audience."
The Boxerjam communities will be gathering places where users will be able
to interact with each other in a real-time multi-player gaming environment.
