..now they are scared shitless to invest more into the C-paper...they would rather have the cash."

That statement makes NO SENSE. Then what you're saying should give ample motive for the managers to SELL. Also CUBE stock has been climbing now for almost seven months - that's not "just recently." Somebody there would have sold something by now - PERIOD.
