Charles, Now we have some variance in opinion. If they shrink the line width, do they then shrink the line height?, and if so the oxide height?. If so the dv/dt (thickness) would soon go beyond the breakdown of the insulation, unless of course there is a huge safety margin. Remember 1 volt across .15 microns is 6.6 million volts per inch....zap city.
I see all the faster smaller processors all going to lower and lower voltages?, is this to reduce the heat?, or to reduce the dv/dt...I am sure there is a correct term for this, that I do not know.
