Somewhat OT. Internet2
We have all read about the wonders of broad band and all it will do to propagate the B2C and B2C on-line models. And the Akamai's, MFNXs and EXDS will help with the proliferation of e-com. But do you know of good articles on Internet-2? Its my understanding that several universities are "playing" with another of DARPA's nets which offers a much more comprehensive integration of all facets of broad band into the structure of Web2 and the applications. I also believe that corporate sponsors include WCOM, CSCO, LU and other current players.

I guess my questions (I realize there are no answers) are the following: What is Web2? When are ideas and applications honed on WEB2 likely to be implimented and how (over some telco's private net?)? How "disruptive" will this be to all those wonderful business models that were build on text web applications? And just for fun, since NOPT has been linking universities in the Northeast by glass over powerlines are they either directly or indirectly involved?
