Well, X, today I was supposed to be doing something REALLY, REALLY interesting -- paying my bills, mopping the kitchen floor, scrubbing out the bathrooms, and -- ugh, my absolute favorite! -- filing.
Instead, I let myself get stuck on SI. Haven't done that in a long time! Bad girl! Bad! [Slaps own face. Hard.]
Seriously, I think I already posted somewhere about what I have been doing lately. A Chechen friend and I are working on getting a new website launched (info. on Chechnya & the North Caucasus in general). He is doing the technical side, primarily (i.e., learning how to program!), and I am doing the editorial stuff -- lining up contributors, translating material, doing my own writing.
On top of that, I promised to give a talk at the State Department next week, and they just asked me to provide them with a 10-15 page precis...Eeek! Time to swear off the posting again!
