One of them makes a nest with lots of organic matter which gives warmth when composting and leaves. I think both will eat their young if caught once they reach the water. Both pop out of the egg and head for water.

I did see a mother rhino with her foal on the cover of a Sunday magazine. God, she loved that baby. You could see it.

Wife's mare is a good mother and she was proud of her last. With her other foals she is stuck like glue for 6 months. Last foal she nurtured him for a day. Day two he out ran and out dodged her. Day three she gave up and and waited for him back to nurse.
