I'll try that. (calling them) As far as trading an IRA, I think that's the only way to go because you have no short-term gains to pay the uncle! That makes a tremendous difference if you're in the highest tax bracket like my wife and I are.
Also I tend to be very disciplined and take my losses quickly... I don't plan on losing large amounts of money in my retirement account.
As for nasdaq level II quotes I really could care less I'm a swing trader not a day trader for the most part. I just think it would be fun to look at and maybe eventually be able to use profitably. Back to fido, I do think that one gets excellent executions on trades and no partial fills like Datek where I've gotten filled on just one share before. :)

My chief complaint is why is it so costly to trade over the phone...that should be the same as the internet in my opinion.
