Where the ...?
"You obviously are new to this thread and a shareholder of a competitor..that taken into consideration, your opinion has no merit or substance...difficult to be objective about a non-asian company."
Wow, powerful statement/accusation considering that you have zero basis on which to make any of these comments.
The non-disclosure was my bad--I currently do not have any position in any SAN-related cos although I had ZOOX a few weeks ago and have been researching about BRCD and SANs in general. In fact, I've followed the tech industry quite closely having held INTC, CSCO, MSFT, and EMC since about 1993 (among many others).
You should do what I've done and put together a spreadsheet with Q/Q comparisons of BRCD, ZOOX, CRDS, and VIXL--then tell me where you should place the SAN bet(s). From what I've read, BRCD is currently the segment leader and ZOOX has a SAN switch (Capellix) coming out that has just begun to ship in quantity--what does Vixel have in the pipeline to boost revs?
In terms of being in Asia--does it really matter that much where you are geographically/physically? As long as one has access to resouces (equity research, industry news/research, discussion threads, mass media, etc.) what difference does it make? Stephen, isn't this a wired (and wireless) world? Don't mean to sound too brash, but I'd venture to say that I have access to far more useful information relating to investing in technology than most people.
The takeaway here is that perhaps you should reserve judgment and try to post something more constructive in the future, say, maybe some due diligence that you've done that might bolster an argument for buying into or holding onto VIXL. Finally, if this is an example of your mind at work, then good luck, in general.
