Naz futures down due to CPQ?? Another overreaction! Only ones suffering should be IBM, HP and Compaq and a few others who compete in this area. Why is SUNW saying there is no problem for this quarter.
Like i said before competition from the side (SUNW) and below (MSFT/INTEL). Althougth i am no expert in the field, that is my gut feeling.

These stories of slowdowns in high end server sales will only slow down future (post Y2K) sales. Could be the beginning of the end of the mainframes. Momentum could take over (ie momentum in this belief). The marketplace can be very strange. If somehow people perceive that it is a dying product, may it will become one. Can only add momementum to MSFT.

I realize that i might be illogical----sometimes the market and marketplace is not logical either. Add Microsoft's push into the high end and some of these companies have got serious problems.
