Intel doing the integration themselves should allow them to work out the problems of high-performance servers. This is also something of a threat to Sun, but only when Intel can get their act together with Itanium, Linux runs in 64-bit mode on it, and they put together a crossbar architecture like the UltraSparcs (in other words, probably never). Sorry James.

Next thing to look for in this arena: Intel running their own business on these Linux servers (like Sun runs on Sparc/Solaris, and like Microsoft runs their business on NT, or so they tell us)
