There are some VMS deposits in the area. These claims are next door to Amalgamated Prospectors which has optioned them off to Larder and PALL. This area has had constant drilling over the last five years because there is a theory that the #2 ranked base metal deposit lies in this area. If you read up on VMS deposits you will find where you usually find a major deposit in one area there are likely to be others. IE: Cominco,s Kudz Ze Kayah deposit and Atna,s Wolverine. Studies of VMS deposit by A fellow by the name of Sangster postulates that where there are VMS deposits, they usually occur in clusters of 10 to 12 deposits. He also theorizes from extrapolating data of other known deposits that where there is a huge super giant deposit, there is a pattern of known ratio between the #1 and #2 deposit which is 4 to 1. Kidd Creek has 130,000,000 tons and is ranked #1 in the area. Therefore there is room to find a #2 deposit which transalates into the 30,000,000 ton range according to Sangsters' study.Like I said there has been a lot of exploration work in the immediate are and rumors for the last 2 to 3 years has been that there are massive sulphide hits in the Kamiskotia belt.
Atnas, reports states that they have hit the right goelogy which is what they need to find first. The down hole pulse will tell them first if there is any massive sulphides in the area and then it will also tell them in which direction the deposits lie.
