My visit with USAB was much better than expected. Not that I was worried about any bad news, but I was expecting some of the employees to be a little blah with the stock price and all. That was not the case what so ever, everyone was very optimistic about their current position and where the company was headed.

I'm not sure how much I can say regarding my visit, we went over so many things. I'm well aware of what the competition has to offer, yet I still feel (probably stronger than ever) USAB is taking the necessary steps to bring in the most accounts possible in the shortest period of time!

Assuming the market and or financial sector stays strong . . . USAB should do very well over the next few months!

Regarding Q3 results . . . As most of you know, they stopped most of the TV and Radio advertisements and went with the GQ, Earthlink and direct marketing approach. Huge money saver. The $88M loan portfolio they recently purchased has been very profitable. I initially expected 3rd quarter to be 37-cent loss, I'm now guessing things will be much better than expected! Comptroller was still crunching the #'s, but should be any day now. Don't worry they are not hiding any bad news!

I saw the Macromedia Flash demo . . . I have accounts at Fidelity, Etrade and Schawb, they are not even close! The Flash site is simply awesome and I'm not easily impressed! It was created completely by an outside vendor - Macromedia, their first financial site. They wanted to impress the world with their Flash capabilities, I believe they have succeeded! It's hard to explain how cool it is . . . yet completely functional! Nothing like the current USAB Flash demo; far superior!

I got a copy of the GQ-CD, here's the link
