What could be better ,in my opinion, is a Supreme Court that made rulings based on the reality of today and not the world as it existed 200 years ago. We are only seeing the tip of the iceberg regarding Aboriginal claims. We had better duck. Its all coming our way.
Do any of you realize how much money was poured into the 'Royal Commission on Aboriginal' people a few years back? Enough to settle more than a couple of land claims ..easy. Have any of their findings and recommendations been considered? These issues cannot be left to the courts. Its the responsibility of our politicians to undertake some serious negotiations.
This Gov't needs to wake up.
And don't get me started on 'same sex' benefits .
