No, I disagree. Looking at time and sales. . .reveals many 10k short sales on the bid. . . . so investors are both buying and selling a few hundred shares at a time. . .but the price moves every time 10k short-sells hit. This is being driven by shorts for sure. . . it shows clearly in the time and sales. I would still be a buyer of the dips [generally speaking]. . . as nothing has fundamentally changed, in my opinion.
Best way to play the volatiles is on the swing these days. . . it seems NOTHING is allowed to hold its value. . .not internets, not retailers, not broadbands, not chip makers, not even Blue Chip Dow stocks. . . nothing. . . and the opposition is NOT "nervousness" or "sell-offs" or "panic" . . . there is nothing to fear here. No, the bears playing the biggest gainers short are simply playing with more conviction.

This is a stock pickers market. . . but NOT for long-termers. .. . the only thing that is working presently is swing trading or daytrading. . . .

Suggest a cautious stance on holding any high-fliers. . .

The anal-ysts say things like suddenly they are cautious on Intel and MSFT. Intel because of competition and Taiwan earthquakes. . .and MSFT because they are late with Windows upgrade and are going to get a decision handed down from the justice department some day. Well. . .Intel has always had competition and has done just fine. . . .MSFT is always late with Windows upgrade. . .and I would be suspect if they were ever on time. . . and the justice department has been trying to hand down a decision for over a year. . . .

So be sure to see these anal-yst reports for what they are. INTC and MSFT were added to the Dow Jones 40 Industrial Averages yesterday. . . and it was by surprise. . .catching many brokers off guard. . .but they need those shares. . .so they are bashing in order to force the price down, so they can get the shares they need at a lower price.

It is no different than the sort of activity we see on Yahoo and other such boards. . . .only when brokers do it . . it is called analysis. . . .when individuals do it, it is called stock manipulation. . . . I say the anal-ysts are the biggest manipulators of them all. . . .and should be held accountable. And Arthur Leavitt, head of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is in total agreement.
