Addendum to my acceptance speech.

OK, give me a thread and I never stop typing. Anyway, I'd like to follow-up on my comments about investor understanding of Messagemedia. I'll use AOL as an example.

Most investors know AOL and what it does. But that's about as far as it goes. However, there is one number investors understand about AOL, and it probably says more about the investor than AOL, but that's the world we live in. That number is 19 million worldwide subscribers. If AOL wants to build investor confidence, all they have to do is add a million to that number every quarter and everybody is happy. In short, 19 million subscribers is a number investors can relate to revenues; ie, it adds another dimension to investor understanding of the company.

Sad to say, the eagle denied investors of this additional dimension yesterday. Instead of revealing the average number of daily messages served and thereby helping investors move towards a two dimensional understanding of Messagemedia, the eagle chose to remain focused on the single dimension of revenues while explaining away the average message load with smoke and mirrors.

And that's all I'm going to say about that!
