Yes i remember that WSTL effort.
Do you remember their HDSL efforts too?

Ahead of Pairgain and Adtran and ADC. Somebody said no.

As I recall Paingain and Adtran was always out in front with HDSL since 1992/1993.

Went to ADSL in a big way.

Believe me, Somebody said no.

Went to the second generation DSL platform to compete against CMTN, PAIR.

Somebody said no.

Want to develop ASICs to reduce the cost of CAP DSL products before DMT.
Want to have ASIC technology in the products at release so GPM can compete?

Somebody said no.

As I recall they finally cut their losses on CAP due to the market pressures of not accepting the CAP line code, and going full force in DMT line code.

Wanted to invest in the "core" T1 business to grow this company while we wait for DSL with a new multifunction user platform?

Somebody said no.

Then how do you explain all the new T1 based products and PR news on their T1 products?

The shareholders ask if the co. can get the stock to the 20's again.

Somebody still says no.

I was there such a short time and saw all of this change. Not much left to see outside the place, from what I remember.

I think Westell had to cut their spending and totally restructure their company. Sometimes companies need to go down as in Westells case before they can go back up again. Its all part of the market place and if you time it right you can win big or lose big.
Just my opinion.......
