But information previously reported by CNNS, that a likely hidden motivator behind Bill Clinton's impeachment woes is traceable to the ongoing Netanyahu/Clinton feud, appears increasingly likely.
The impeachment trial of Bill Clinton is concurrent with an imminent Israeli election, in which Clinton's non-friend Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, may be voted out of office.
Clinton hatchet-man James Carville and his associates are actively working for Netanyahu's defeat. A covert operation meant, apparently, to counter the Clinton team, was launched recently. The office of Carville associate Stan Greenberg, in Washington DC, was burglarized and files related to the upcoming Israeli election were stolen.
In a prior report from CNNS, we pointed to speculation that Monica Lewinsky is an Israeli "asset," and that the scandal involving her and Bill Clinton is part of a "sting" operation. A past report from EIRNS (Executive Intelligence Review News Service) bolsters the claim.
In "What Was the Mossad Role in the Lewinsky Affair?", Edward Spannaus reports on information contained in special prosecutor Kenneth Starr's Report, wherein Bill Clinton expressed fears that a foreign embassy was tapping White House phone conversations. [EIRNS, 9/16/98.]
Spannaus writes, in part, that "[r]eportedly, the embassy involved was that of Israel, under the control of the right-wing Likud government of Benjamin Netanyahu."
Citing a report by British journalist Edward Dowling, Spannaus reinforces his claim that Israeli factions hostile to Clinton are involved in the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Dowling, according to Spannaus, "has released an article for publication to a variety of British and American news organizations, charging that the Israeli Mossad was bugging the Watergate apartment telephone of Monica Lewinsky, and was able to obtain material used to blackmail the Clinton administration into shutting down a probe of widespread Israeli espionage in Washington." Spannaus specifically links the Lewinsky scandal to Israel's Likud party, to which Netanyahu belongs.
As usual, the interested American public continues to grope in the dark, seeking real information on these and other incidents. Largely betrayed by mainstream journalistic outlets, they seek the truth in these waning days of the American empire.
