My history is that I felt tired for no reason, and except for weight gain (but I'm very disciplined about that) had the hypothyroid symptoms, but the test didn't show it, it showed "low normal." I knew it was hypothyroidism because of the family history, and I read about it in some alternative pubs which said the symptoms are more important than the test; but I had to wait a couple of years, pooped, for the test to get into the range the doctor required before he'd prescribe synthroid. Which I hold against him. So I started on the Synthroid, and felt, better, but not a LOT better; I knew there was still something making me tired-- though the test now showed I was being adequately supplemented. (Usually I have a lot of energy, and the Synthroid wasn't giving me that back.) I was whining about this to a friend who mentioned her Armour rx, and what her doctor had said (he was an internist, not an "alternative" guy) so I asked my internist.

And when I got on the Armour, I got my old energy back.

And, as I said, it's been 2 1/2 years, so I think it's real.

But both the synthroid and the armour made the test results normal. It's just that the synthroid didn't make me normal.
