Pat: There is nothing that prevents a company from telling the investment community whether or not the quarter will be positive or not. There is no such thing as a "quiet period" as it pertains to the end of a quarter or the the quarterly results themselves. Many companies will alert the investment community of the impending results well before they are published. This happens all the time, particularly when the stock price is being affected by rumours of good or bad results.

By the way, pertaining to Fidelity, now that you've made Fidelity your scapegoat, do you still believe the glass id half full?
