BGR, that's not what this is about...bearish strategists are indeed silenced, as they are not regarded as conducive to the brokers business, which is after all the selling of stocks. on WS, if you're bullish and turn out to be wrong, that's o.k. - if you're bearish you better be right, otherwise you're fired. it is a fairly recent phenomenon btw, but it's clearly the case. now it would have been wrong to be cautious about equities for most of the 90's...however, now the market is at it's most overvalued level ever, so perhaps WS should not be so rude to it's few remaining bears. of course it's not fashionable to be a bear...it never is at the height of a mania.
