I am sorry to read that you were disappointed by X's post, finding it one-sided and misleading. I could not help but notice that in your haste to supplement the information provided you overlooked one or two additional points: after saying it was not important and thanking her for the advertising, you fostered an inaccurate perception that the information was private, and you denied ever writing of your specialty or your location while at SI. You also said your position urging her reinstatement was based on a matter of principle.

When a simple search of SI brought up posts demonstrating otherwise, you threatened to retract your letter on CB's behalf, apparently abandoning your principles with great speed. Those who questioned your methods and sincerity, pointing out the appearance of naked intimidation, were branded as liars and hypocrites. In all fairness it should be noted that you use those two words extraordinarily often in your discourse on SI.

I do hope this helps round out the picture given of recent events. I do apologize if I have left anything else out. And I do forgive you for all the names you have called me, such as hypocrite, liar and constipated. As a child I was taught that "sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." Although this is the first time in my adult life I thought it necessary to repeat that phrase, it did bring back some fond childhood memories. I must thank you once again.
