Dear Brian, I think it is only the accusation of not accepting the Messiah. Moses would accuse them of not understanding what he wrote about the Messiah for they were in a sense worshiping Moses over the Messiah. John 5 43: I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44: How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? 45: Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46: For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. That is different than the accuser in Revelation 12 10: And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. It helps to keep things in their context. Love in Messiah, Nancy |
