Speaking of which, I don't know of any upcoming PC processor that would be ideal for the Gamebox. Athlon has an excellent FPU, but isn't really going to work unless AMD had an Intel-sized manufacturing capacity. Timna would be great for the cost, yet I'm not confident that its 3D graphics performance would be up to par. Willamette would be excellent, yet it's going to be even more expensive to produce than Athlon. Coppermine? Eh, not really.

It's just so hard for me to imagine anything coming close to Sony's Emotion engine. Even Nintendo must be running scared. That thing has been architected right from the start to be extremely powerful in graphics, yet makes a good fit for (relatively) low-cost consoles. Whether Toshiba (I think) can make enough volumes for Sony, that's another question.
