You should have little to no pain, immediately before, during, or after. If you do, you're not getting sufficient medication, or limiting it yourself, or overdoing what you were told not to move.

Pain medication is a right, and realized now as such.

The surgeries are really do-able. I mean, they're pretty civilized. Make a lot of eye-contact, be human. Have fun even! Really. I tease people.

There are some very nice people. Look for them.
