WARP and the Corbis and Getty Connection
A lonely board lately. Most likely because the bottom line, revenue has not shown up yet. But considering the alliances already made, I remain long on WARP. From my research I have learned that Corbis, funded by Bill Gates and Getty Images, funded by the Getty family are two giants on the planet of the soon to be flourishing digital image industry. Neither has made any money yet. Don't need to during the startup phase. What I find most interesting is that WARP has agreements with Excite at Home which is in Bill Gates sphere of influence and Getty Images. I suspect that the WARP paradigm for managing digital assets is viewed as having the potential to meet the needs of these two companies. With a 97.5% profit margin already built in, all they need is increased revenue to put this baby gorilla on the map. Interested in feedback from anyone who knows the business since I am an outsider looking in.
