wily, the big turning point was in August when Intel quietly announced they intended to develop a SDRAM (PC133) version of Camino - after repeatedly and vehemently denying in public that they would ever support PC133. I predicted this, of course. Apr 21 1999 I'm 99% sure that, public statements to the contrary notwithstanding, Intel will support PC133. It just makes too much sense. Message 9048036 May 11 1999 However, it's increasingly clear that Rambus can't replace SDRAM (and evolutions thereof) for PC main memory in the short term. So what is Intel going to do?
