Bruce Re <What should we expect you to say since SUNW and AMD are two of your favorite stocks.>

I do not say these because I like(d) AMD and SUNW, I own(ed) them because I believed what I said. Also I no longer own SUNW, I got out before the earnings :(.

Re <The DRAM problem is short term - unless earthquakes become quarterly events and prices a few months out will be going back down>

completely wrong!

DRAM prices have nothing to do with the quake! Today DRAM prices are about the same as they were the day BEFORE the quake. There is very little DRAM manufactured in Taiwan. Korea, Japan and US are the big producers. DRAM prices rose sharply BEFORE the quake.

Re <In the Gorilla Game world, AMD is not even a Chimp. It is a monkey. I think it is less of a problem for Intel than you suggest.>

Why is it that Intel ASP's are spiraling downwards for the first time in several years? Not related to AMD? Don't think so.

Re <Let's keep stock prices in historical perspective here when speaking of MSFT, INTC and DELL>

Agree 100%. DELL, MSFT and INTC have done great, them giving a bit back when things are no longer perfect should be expected. That was the point I originally wanted to make in response to Jean.

Re < If you really believe that the bell curve of the Technology Adoption Life Cycle is on the way down for these three, what are you suggesting will replace them?>

I don't belive that. I just think they are less of a powerhouse they used to be. I also think that the reason responsible for the current side way/decline action will be present for some time to come. I certainly do not expect these issues to continue to outperform the market like they have been.
