i saw your note last night and wanted to think about it before responding. lostdood and his link to mr. mark summed it up perfectly i think, so i don't have as much to add. i echo their sentiments.

several times i have gotten very discouraged that si was dying. i really wanted to help josef get heard and be vocal and have him return. but being able to put together a coast to coast pit crew, or bid on an ebay comic book with pals, or grub with mr. mark, or talk to henry volquardsen, swim with minnows, talk to meehan before and after a cnn appearance, or join hands to help cobaltblue come back, or hang out with the silly and bright mythsters...and so on...are experiences i'll always treasure.

maybe another thought would be appropriate. consider jimmy stewart's role in "it's a wonderful life". you have meant more than perhaps you know to several of us. the very creation of this thread and the atmosphere is a haven of good karma. your arrival on the myth thread and bringing me to the piffers, the grubbers, etc. may have kept me going in si when i otherwise would have had enough. don't get discouraged, i think you're contributing more to the lives of folks around you than you may sometimes think. si is a worthy part of your "magnificent obsession" for giving. :)
