Vip ... there isn't anything that I can say that would be of value. I taught science for 30 years, so my coffee drinking friends are always talking shop with me. At my age some of my friends are into decision making at Boeing etc. At a Rotary lunch I sat with the head of FLOW industries and the VP. of Robbins.

Flow is cutting concrete and metal with water pressure and developing technology in that field. Boeing was trying to get the mangement of the maned space flight and then the Cape Kennedy space center. Unfortunately my friend didn't pull those rabbits out of the hat. Robbins makes the equipment that dug the Chunnel for England.

My daughter works for JPL engineering unmanned spacecraft. NSCAT, Mars Rover, Galileo, and Cassini are some of her recent projects.

My wife is a news editor for a local news chain that includes the Redmond area down to Kent/Auburn. This is the industrial base of this area. The business editor is a fellow computer freak. We talk shop.

Anyway, we all keep our ears out and talk over companies in Puget Sound.

NPTH a new company that has yet to make a profit. NexTel a digital cell phone company that McCaw and friends have taken over poor management and are going to make a move ... investing no profit make yet. Flow a well managed company that hasn't lived up to it's potential stock growth ... been realy flat for too long. Fluke instrument company that is expanding its market by buying a Swedish company ... shows good steady growth. Boeing ... flying as high as I have ever seen since 1948 ... the year of their terrible strike when we thought the company would die a miserable death.
