now i am a total jerk? your words are so entertaining.
Actually If someone is out there doing something they shouldn't, the SEC will eventually catch up with them. A friend of mine wrote the software the SEC uses to track down people on these boards.
If someone decides to get into the stock market, and wants to do their own investing, they should use their resources:
1) learn the valueline valueline.com (You can find it in almost any library). 2) Learn about investing via the NAIC (thats where I started). better-investing.org for more info
I am opposed to the scamsters out there too. I've been scammed before, but do I go around blaming anyone? no. I only blame myself, and then try not to do that again.
I've seen pretty shady postings here and on Yahoo, but do I listen to them? I know some people do because they ask me what I think of so and so. What I tell them to do is not to act on that post, but instead try to research it themselves, even make phone calls to the company in question.
I don't give out advice, because when you are wrong they will come back to you and blame you for your advice. So for that reason I don't give advice to anyone, not even my relatives.
Now I don't know who you are but you seem to be pretty quick at hurling the insults. I won't give you the pleasure of reading any insults pointed to you. You can hurl all the insults you want at me.
Disclaimer: I'm long on EBAY and about 60 other stocks. I've never done a short in my life. Neither have I ever done margin trading. I have about 5% of my portfolio in funds. Basically I don't use funds because I believe I can do better on my own. To date I've done many times better then funds, but only time will tell. I'm also a holder of MSFTP (microsoft Preferred stock)... It doesn't do as well as MSFT but it pays a dividend.
Since I appear to have offended you I apologize. I would hope you would be civil enough to apologize for your actions, but whether you do or not, I hope you have a nice day. I'm out of here for the day. Not to trade or daytrade, but just taking a day off from life in the fast lane. |
