That's nice, but won't work unless there are web based apps out there that are equal to or better than MS Office and other 3rd party vendor software currently available for Windows.

For the $100-$200 price tag difference people will opt for the tried and trusted solution ; Windows. No doubt there is a small segment of the market that would like a $100-$200 box that just lets them surf and email friends - this won't eat the PC's lunch though.
