<sigh>

You know first people starting suggesting that I was someone named Roy who used to work at Brocade. And now you and that Ancor employee who identifies himself as CRACKONLYPLEASE ..err.. FACTSONLYPLEASE on Yahoo, seem to think I am a current Brocade employee..

However, I would like to publicly state..

1) I am terribly pleased that anyone would think me a Brocade employee. If you truly have the power to do so, can you make me a pre-IPO one?

2) I've actually met the individual you now accuse me of being, at training and I am overwhelmed anyone would think me him.. The guy is a freakin FC genius and WAY more polite than I am..

Anyway do you seriously think Brocade would waste someone like that responding to people like yourself that inhabit these stockboards?? Actually what am I saying??.. you guys are still the ones trumping around Ancor's superior technology.. You could believe ANYTHING.. Although now with the advent of the Keylabs piece all of you are NOW saying that it's the NEXT Ancor switch that will kick Brocade's a$$.. What happened to Ancor's superior technology in their LAST switch?? Seems to have evaporated into the night air..

BTW how do you FEEL...?? KNOWING that basically the ENTIRE company now rides on Sun (that ripping sound you hear is HDS being pried away..) and the new SANBox..? Does it unnerve you at all?? Kind of a lot riding on this one product with a company that, well let's face it, doesn't exactly have a great track record with products.. No matter what you rabid few think.. Regarding the rest of your message, I don't know who the heck Mr. T. is, or much else regarding the other references in your message.

Actually as a side note (really to other readers). I have never stated my true identity because I wanted my statements to be simply measured against generally available facts. (Not all these rumor and hype facts) You could have validated any of my past statements with reference to user manuals or with reference to GA FC documents or books. It's just a part of good DD, and very basic to good investors. (Another reason why these guesses are so tedious and meaningless)

Here again is another example where it will be relatively easy for me to provide proof. If anyone knows they will be meeting this individual who I am accused of being, HELL invite him to HQ there in Eden Prairie and give him a company tour all day, it's not like you guys have any orders you need to fill. Post and let me know you will be with him, and I can promise you posts galore from me while you're watching him.. (Hell he's probably on a PLANE right now as I post this..)

I heartily apologize to all readers for this unseemly look into my little ole private life but perhaps it does present an opportunity. There definitely seems to be an inordinate amount of Ancor employees stomping around (at the minimum Yahoo's stock chat boards) here. It seems that most aren't technical engineer types (or if they are, you Ancor investors are in much more serious trouble than you realize). But if someone can truly get one of the engineers online I would LOVE to ask them some questions like;

1) When will your switch support REAL E-Port (FC-SW)?
2) Why doesn't your switch support load sharing over ISLs? (Had some OOD problems did you..?)
3) Why does your switch force T-Port allocation on ASIC boundaries?
4) Why can't you recover routes through the fabric rather than only providing recovery for identical backup ISLs?
5) Why don't you tell anyone that your "hard zoning" doesn't work with more than one switch? (Don't your customers insist on a minimum of two switches thereby making hard zoning basically unavailable?)
6) Why does your zoning force itself over ASIC boundaries?
7) Why do you have a limit on the number of zones, and why is it 4 for the Windows tool and 16 for the Web tool?
8) Why do you need separate firmware for "multi-stage" and single configurations?
9) Have you fixed the fact that TFTP isn't secure thereby allowing anyone with physical access the ability to change the firmware and configuration?
10) Why does the switch IP address have to be set through Ethernet of all things? (A real pain when installing multiple switches)
11) What exactly are the latency characteristics OFF-CHIP? And why don't you quote them?
12) How the heck do you exactly do your nameserver implementation?
13) Are you sure your switches support 1gbs full duplex every port to every port?

And exactly how many of these things are fixed in SANBox?

BTW is your NEW loop support software??

And to the marketing folks.. Why do you consistently refer to features/functions of a switch that you haven't released yet?

You all should probably test the Silkworm against SANbox in house using the Keylabs methodology BEFORE you issue a public shootout challenge (I mean the Ancor faitful have everything riding on the fact that the SANBox will be IT)...

bye bye for now..
