Tom & All,
Just came across some interesting info:
strategis.com This link is "Strategis Technologies Inc. - VAR 500 By Ranking" What I found of interest: Cap Gemini America listed with Michel Berty as CEO. Founded in 1981 with 1994 revenue of $196M (a little out-of-date). This ranked CGA #61 out of 500 companies. BTW, #1 in this group was EDS. Seems like I've read where ZMAX has some sort of alliance with these folks. <g>
biz.yahoo.com Of interest: 03/13/97 - <<Sapiens International Corp NV , the market leader in application development productivity, today announced the appointment of information technology leader Dr. Michel Berty to its Board of Directors. Dr. Berty, who has 25 years of experience in the international information technology community, is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cap Gemini America, the American subsidiary of the Cap Gemini Group. Dr. Berty also served as General Secretary of the Cap Gemini Group from 1986 to 1992. The Cap Gemini Group is one of the largest information technology consulting and services firms in the world.>>
OK, so what's so special about Sapiens International? biz.yahoo.com The headline of this article from 03/17/97: <<Sapiens International launches FALCON Reverse Compiler to address year 2000 and legacy migration projects>>
OK, so Cap Gemini America had 1994 revenues of $196M, where the Cap Gemini Group is currently a $3B company. I say that ZMAX signing of Chairman/CEO of a "large division" of the world's 4th largest IT provider is BIG NEWS.
Also, note in the Sapiens Int'l press release that <<Dr. Berty also served as General Secretary of the Cap Gemini Group from 1986 to 1992.>>
Now for the $64 question (note: the $64 may vary, depending on your stake in ZMAX): 03/13 - Berty joins Sapiens Board of Directors 03/17 - Sapiens anounces its y2k solution 03/28 - Berty resigns from Cap Gemini 04/02 - Berty appointed as ZMAX Chairman of the Board
The question: What does all this mean? I really don't know, but it appears that Mr. Berty is a y2k "hoss" (that's Alabama talk for "expert in the field") with some fantastic alliances, both domestic & international.
IMHO, this is sounding better & better. I may do some more homework. All thoughts appreciated.
Take care all, David |
