This is not to repudiate whatever information you have, but I'm afraid you are working off of partial data. I doubt that SI can point to a certain poster just based on the IP address.

Dynamic IP address allocation(all ISPs use it), source IP address hiding, source Domain hiding (many businesses use these for security) are commonly used now a days. If one is coming through an ISP, you can't trace a given IP address to a particular person if the ISP is dynamically assigning IP addresses to its customers. If a person is coming behind a firewall, sometimes you wouldn't even know the actual domain of the person from the IP address reported to you.

My point is that, you can trace the original source from the IP address you received, but only with another set of information from one or more gateways that handled the message from the original source. With the information you have, only conclusion you can make without any doubt is that those messages came from the same Domain. To determine if they are from the same person( even when the IP addresses reported to you are the same), you need more information from all the gateways that handled the original messages.

I'd appreciate it very much, if any body that is knowledgeable in this matter could shed more light on this.
