Top broker handling MRVC was Mayer & Schweitzer (MASH): vol doubled to 3.4 mil in Sept over Aug #2 was NITE: its vol also doubled to 1.7 mil #6 was Van Kasper: its volume quintupled to 953K Volpe Brown increased the highest percentage: from 16K to 289K SHWD which had been active as a buyer, frequently first on the bid, decreased to 580K, a drop of more than 100K. Most brokers roughly doubled their volume.
