That article seems to agree with you, but the press releases that actually come from NCR seem to say something different, making the truth rather nebulous. Even your article seems to focus on "commodity" systems being exited, and I don't think that encompasses their big machines where Solaris would have a role. I haven't heard from NCR yet (and perhaps never will). I guess we'll have to wait and see how it all sorts out.
