Jim, Pretty much all scans are if statements in and of themself, but a condition statement can be multiplied by the balance of the statement to get if results. If the call volume is above 100 then use the bid might be expressed as: (cvol>100)*bid The formula ave(cvol,1,21) is looking at the average call volume for the last 21 trading days. Harold
