>>>So, as a medium or long term play, right now, I don't see USAB as a strong play.

So in defense of the thread and actually talking about on line banking services.

First let me qualify my definition of on line banking...using new technologies to offer competitive deals to consumers...NOT..repackaging brick & mortar business practices and digitally seek to play the same game but using a 'new' channel consumers.

Now...here's the top 100 banks by assets in the United States of America.

onlinebankingreport.com

My local Bank that we've used, my dad used and my grandfather used is #55 Old Kent Financial with 16.5 Billion in Assets.

#100 comes in with 5.7 Billion.

NetB@nk just reported this quarter that they passed 1 Billion? Most of these prick & mortars have been around for 100 or so years and have so much inefficency built into their infastructures they will be creamed by back who fit my definition of an on line bank. ie a couple more years of this 200% to 300% growth stuff on these 'true' inter-nuts banking guys and they will start lobbing off these pieces of dead wood on the above listed top 100 banks...IMO.
