All, this stock may go lower even more. Wally Rhines, Mentor CEO, on why Mentor will have a bad Q1. "The first quarter of each year has the most limited top-line visibility for Mentor Graphics and its peers," stated Walden C. Rhines, President and Chief Executive Officer. "The first quarter of 1997 ended with us experiencing order push-outs predominantly impacting our software products. It is too soon to quantify the impact from the potential decline rate of our legacy products and services in the first quarter, but we anticipate completing our analysis and providing additional information with our financial results press release on April 30, 1997."
