smaller online brokers who cannot offer the full financial experience will fall by the wayside or be acquired.

"consolidation in the sector" means that many account holders at other brokers, traditional and online, will shift their assets to E*Trade.
25% of all new online accounts being opened are going to E*Trade, that's HUGE, absolutely huge.
the Telebanc acquisition was a master stroke by Cotsakos, and time will prove it.
if only he had closed the deal earlier, the decline in EGRP would not have been so steep over these months.
