I am even more fascinated by "apology" as a manifestation of "apoplexy". Is it an art form, a philosophy, passive aggression or just the latest "thing"?

In any case, I am interested in the origins of the movement. I think Jimmy Carter's prints may be found (not on your actual body, of course). His backpedaling on the world stage may, in fact, have been his way of "talking back to" Rosalynn and Amy.
