Can anyone help me? Several times today I tried to buy on the offer using ARCA, and selectnet broadcast without getting filled. Then, when I finally bought 500 out of 1000 shares on ARCA on the offer I tried to hit the bid @ 38 5/16 with ARCA. After 30 sec. no fill, so I lowered my sell to 38 and got filled even though the bid never went below 38 5/16. My question is, What is the best routing to limit buy on the offer and limit sell on the bid? Also, is it possible to put in a buy order above the inside offer and get a price improvement up to the limit price entered? The same for selling below the bid. I trade fast moving stocks and don't have luxury of buying on the bid or between the spread. Thanks in advance.
