As long as there's a lot of unused capacity and many manufacturers chasing after the same consumer, price increases will be held down.

Then, of course, there is the deflationary impact of lower prices for computing power. It all adds up.

Finally, I'm not an economist, but if Congress retires some of the debt doesn't that "take" some money out of the system?
