Neocon--I am thinking that perhaps Kitchener and Lloyd George deserve ranking. Both were instrumental in mobilizing Britain in WWI. Without their efforts the Allies would have fallen long before US intervention. I have noted that other than Ataturk no WWI generals have been mentioned. To my mind that is completely justified, Ataturk was the only one worth a damn. The rest should have been lined up and shot. The results would have saved more lives than Salk and Sabin combined.
