Hi jmac; Re Intel and Rambus not letting out what the cause of the problem with Camino is... That is an interesting thought. What did Intel do when they had the FDIV problem shoved down their throat? I think that when they finally admitted that they had a problem, they owned up to it, but I don't remember that they told everybody exactly what had gone wrong. Instead, they simply fixed it. There are a number of good reasons for doing this. Perhaps there is some intellectual property at stake. Why take the chance of a public disclosure that could get them in trouble with Rambus, or could prevent them from patenting something later on? I think it's just a matter of "need to know." They don't think you need to know. But I wouldn't worry about that as far as evidence that something is gone wrong. When they are sure they've fixed it, they will probably announce a launch date. -- Carl
