My favorite stock continues to accomplish amazing things, in the dark it seems. Would strongly urge SI members to do a little DD here:

borealis.com./

Company has 5,000,000 shares out. Trading near $3.50, stunning intellectual property portfolio. Their discoveries and patents should soon gain the following to achieve market breakout. 2 significant, patents awarded in the last month. This the type of stock you dreamed of finding. I encourage everyone to check it out now before their inventions are household words, which is coming.

New Patent Issued

This is an important announcement of a technology we have not been talking about. We think this may just be the breakthrough work to make solar power commercially viable.

Much of the work for this technology derives from our core work on thermionics, but it is a different technology which can be successful in its own right. We believe that sheets of Power Chips could be produced inexpensively, using materials, processes and methods which are readily available today. Following is the text of the PR on a new patent.

Borealis Technical Limited, Gibraltar 28th October 1999

BOREALIS ANNOUNCES SOLAR THERMIONIC POWER CHIP

A thermionic Power Chip(tm) which works entirely from solar energy has been patented by research and development specialists Borealis Technical Limited.

The patent, titled "Method and Apparatus for Photoelectric Generation of Electricity" 5,973,259 was issued by the US Patent Office on October 26th 1999.

The patent covers a technology for generating electricity using a solar cell comprising two closely spaced electrodes separated by a vacuum. Unlike conventional photoelectric cells, the Borealis solar Power Chip(tm) does not have to concentrate light to work, and can generate electricity efficiently at ambient temperatures. As the solar energy warms the chip, so thermionic emission of electrons also contributes to the power generated, adding to the efficiency of the device.

"Solar Power Chips(tm) are a major advance in the provision of clean energy from renewable sources" says Borealis President Isaiah Cox. "This technology can be mass-produced using existing engineering techniques at a very low cost."

The full text of the patent, and other material relating to Borealis Power Chips(tm) can be downloaded from the Borealis web site at

Borealis Technical Limited is a subsidiary of Borealis Exploration Limited (US NASD: BOREF; Canada OTC: BSXC). Borealis Exploration Limited has 5,000,000 shares outstanding.

Borealis Motor Manufacturing Limited

A major Motor Player this past week duplicated, by modeling, our work on the Chorus(tm) motor. They are pleased with their technical prowess and it is comforting to hear from somebody else that we are technically right.

Businesses have different ways of assessing technologies. One of the larger motor manufacturers decided to model our work on the Chorus(tm) motor this week. They have concluded that we are technically right and were delighted when all the numbers fell in place.

Others prefer to see something physical - preferably the sort of motor they themselves use. So we are currently finishing the power electronics for a 1250hp motor. This is a big, big motor - we're enjoying working on the grand scale. The power electronics will be able to drive motors from 1,250 hp down to very small sizes. So with the right motor, we will be able to demonstrate Chorus(tm)at all sizes.

Negotiations continue with suppliers, motor manufacturers and end users. We are beginning to win friends and champions in the motor world as they begin to realize that Chorus(tm)really is a significant advance in motor technology. Resistance in those quarters which will be hardest hit is also growing - which is a compliment, because those people would not be worried if they did not believe Chorus(tm) was a genuine threat.

Borealis Cool and Power Chips

We are now building and testing chips, and we are very happy with the results so far. We can't predict at what point in the program we will hit pay dirt, but our tests are very focused and we learn from each one. This is work which no established Government agency or private company could have carried out - they have convinced themselves that this type of work can only be done at huge expense over a period of decades, and will not undertake it without prior assurances of success.
