China should be required to float their currency prior to any admission into the WTO. Think about the one common mistake that the IMF kept making in their assistance with emerging countries - they would give them money prior to devaluation. At least with Brazil, they got smart and told them not to bother defending the real for very long. At this point, financial assistance and trading relationships should only be extended to countries with free floating currencies.
